Jennifer McLaurin, Site Director
Jennifer was born and raised in a small town in Indiana.  She moved to Tennessee to attend Johnson University where she received her Bachelor's degree and obtained her teaching license.  Jennifer joined the SHADES team in 2011, working as a teacher at Adrian Burnett.  Several months later she took the Director's position at Mount Olive and then helped open the SHADES program at Sam E Hill Preschool in 2013.  Jennifer has a passion for working with children and truly enjoys the preschool age group.  When she's not working, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her spouse, their 2 cats, and 2 pitbulls, cooking, hiking, reading, running, painting, and photography.
Pam Cooper, Lead Teacher and 2nd in Command.  I have worked in childcare for around 25 years.  I graduated from Roane State Community College in 2013 with A.A.S.  degree in Early Childhood Education as well as my CDA certificate in Early Childhood Education.  I have been married to the love of my life for 33 years.  Together we have 3 children.  We also have 5 grandchildren that range from the ages of 2 months to 5 years old.  I started working for SHADES of Development in the spring of 2013 and am currently a 4-5 year old pre-K specialist at Sam E Hill Preschool.  One of the reasons I like working with children is when I get to see their faces light up when they have made an accomplishment.  I also enjoy sharing with them the knowledge I have obtained in my childcare career.  When I am not working with children in the center, I am caring for my grandchildren at home.  You could say I love being around the young people of the world because caring for children in the correct way is important to our future, because they are the future.
Larrissa Bohannon, Assistnt Teacher  Larrissa is new to SHADES and works as a Pre-K Assistant. She is currently enrolled in college working towards her Associate's degree in Medical Assisting. She hopes to go into Pediatrics when she graduates. She is a mom of 4 beautiful children ages 8, 7, 6 and 2. She and her family enjoy cooking, movie nights and going to Farmers Markets.
Sue Holt, Lead Teacher  Sue Holt was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. She received her education degree from the University of Tennessee, and taught at Lonsdale Elementary School for 31 years. Sue retired from her teaching career in 2013 and recently took the position as a lead teacher at SHADES.

Molly Bell, Assistant Teacher.  Molly lives with her two puppies in South Knoxville.  She's lived in Louisiana, Idaho, Alabama and Philly, but is here to stay in Knoxville.  She loves to decorate, and is remodeling her house. Her favorite things to do with the kids are arts and crafts.
Shajara Quigley, Lead Teacher.  I was born and raised in the great state of Texas.  I am 23 years old.  I have one brother and four sisters.  I am a Masters student at Crown College of the Bible where I am studying to become a missionary.  I am thankful to have the opportunity to work with the children at SHADES.  They teach me things every day and I am extremely grateful to work with them.
